Ricotta and cherries pie: a unique dessert to try!

INGREDIENTS
For the filling:
200g (4/5 cup) Ricotta
70g (1/3 cup) Sugar
350g (2 2/3 cups) Cherries
 
For the dough:
150g (2/3 cup) Butter
150g (3/4 cup) Sugar
1 egg
1g (1/4 tsp) Salt
1 packaging (10g) Vanilla sugar
300g (2 2/3 cups) Cake flour
8g (1 2/3 tsp) Baking powder
 
Icing sugar
 
METHOD
  1. For the filling: In a bowl put the ricotta and sugar. Mix and add cherries. Mix and save it for later.
  2. For the dough: In a large bowl put the softened butter, sugar, salt, egg, vanilla sugar. Add flour and baking powder. Knead it and put half of the dough into the springform pan. Add already prepared cherry filling. Put the other half of the dough on top. Bake at 180C for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with icing sugar. Serve.
