Maritozzi (Sweet Yeasted Roman Buns) With Whipped Cream: Fluffy, Creamy And Delicious

Ingredients:
420g stone-ground flour
2 medium eggs
130g milk
60g of Bavarian butter
70g sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2g salt
10g fresh yeast
For sugar syrup:
50ml water
30g sugar
For the filling:
300ml whipped cream
Directions:
Dissolve the yeast with milk and a tablespoon of sugar, then add three tablespoons of flour. Stir and let it rest for 30 minutes. Then add the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, salt and the rest of the flour. Mix well, add the butter and shape into a loaf, let rise until doubled.
Roll out and form the maritozzi, let them rise again and brush them with water and sugar. Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 12/15 minutes. Let cool and fill with whipped cream.
