Burger buns: fluffy and delicious!
published on 3 July, 2023 at 10:53
INGREDIENTS
240ml (1 cup) of milk
7g of dry yeast
30g (1/4 cup) of sugar
510g (4 1/4 cups) of flour
10g (1/2 tbsp) of salt
2 eggs
100g (1/2 cup) of butter (soft)
Kitchen foil
1 egg for egg wash
Sesame seeds
METHOD
1. In a small bowl add the milk, yeast, and sugar and mix until yeast and sugar dissolve.
2. In a bowl with flour add the salt and mix with a wooden spoon. Add the prepared yeast, eggs and continue mixing. When the dough starts to form knead it with your hands.
3. Finally add the butter and knead the dough to obtain a smooth and nonsticky dough. Cover with cling film and let it rise for 2 hours, or until is double in volume.
4. After time has elapsed punch out the gas from the dough and transfer to the working surface. Split it into 10 pieces and form the balls.
5. From the kitchen foil form the baskets and arrange them on the baking tray covered with parchment paper. Fill the baskets with the balls and cover them with a cloth. Let them rise for 30 minutes.
6. After 30 minutes brush the buns with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
7, Bake the buns in the oven at 180°C/360°F for 30 minutes and serve.
