How to prepare a perfect shrimp tempura

8 pieces shrimp, shelled and deveined with tails left intact
1 cup tempura flour
Salt
Pepper
1 piece egg
1 cup water, ice-cold
Canola oil, for deep-frying
3 tbsps all-purpose flour
1 cup tempura flour
Salt
Pepper
1 piece egg
1 cup water, ice-cold
Canola oil, for deep-frying
3 tbsps all-purpose flour
Directions:
Mix tempura flour with pepper and salt. Beat the egg with ice cold water and add seasoned tempura flour. Put the shrimps in the all-purpose flour and in tempura batter. Fry in hot oil.
