Perfect cookies: how to make them with a cookie press!

Using a cookie press, shape this easy cookie dough into intricate shapes and have fun decorating with chocolate!

INGREDIENTS
 230g (1 cup) butter, softend;
 90g (½ cup) sugar;
 1 egg;
 300g (2 cups) all-purpose flour;
 A pinch of salt;
 1 tsp vanilla extract.
 
METHOD
  1.  Using a hand mixer cream butter with sugar and salt until pale. Add vanilla and egg and mix together.
  2.  Combine butter mixture with flour and work the mixture with a spatula until it is smooth.
  3.  Use cookie spritz to form the cooking on a baking sheet.
  4.  Bake for 190C/375 (fan on) for 6-8 minutes.
