Choux pastry donuts: perfect for a tasty break!

INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
250ml (1 cup) water;
180g (1 ½ cup) ‘00’ flour;
12g (1 tbsp) sugar;
70g (⅓ cup) butter;
4 large eggs;
½ tsp vanilla extract;
500ml (2 cups) full-fat cream;
120ml (½ cup) chocolate ganache;
Chopped chocolate bars for decor.
METHOD
- Melt butter with water over medium heat.
- Add in sugar, whisk and then mix in four.
- When the ball of dough forms in the pan, transfer it into a bowl and start adding eggs one at a time while beating the mixture with a hand mixer.
- Pour the dough into a piping bag and pipe it out on a parchment-covered baking sheet, forming circles.
- Bake at 200C/400F (fanon) for 25 minutes. Leave to cool down after baking.
- Whip cream with vanilla.
- Cut each choux in half and fill with cream. Top with chocolate ganache and chopped chocolate bars, or pipe the cream on top and add some hazelnut cream.
