Banana churros: the best way to trick yourself into eating fruit!

A real delicacy with a crispy crunchy outer layer with a soft and chewy center flavoured with bananas.
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
1 cup water;
1 ¼ cup flour;
a pinch of salt;
½ tbsp yeast;
2 eggs;
2 bananas, peeled, sliced in half;
¼ cup dulce de leche;
¼ cup peanut butter;
¼ cup hazelnut paste;
vegetable oil for frying;
cinnamon sugar;
skewers.
METHOD
- Insert wooden skewers into each banana half and place it in the freezer.
- Meanwhile make a churro batter by boiling water, seasoning it with salt and then adding flour and yeast.
- When the thick dough comes together, add eggs on at a time, while working the mixture with a hand mixer.
- Pour the batter into a pastry bag with a star tip in it.
- While spinning frozen banana skewer in your hand, carefully cover it with churro batter and then fry in preheated vegetable oil for 4-5 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
- Cover in cinnamon sugar and serve with a simple cream, made by mixing dulce de leche with peanut butter and hazelnut paste.
