Perfect Yeast Doughnuts: the easiest way to satisfy your dessert cravings!

INGREDIENTS
275 g (9.7 oz) flour;
1 egg;
1/3 cup warm milk;
13 g (0.4 oz) fresh yeast;
1 tsp vanilla powder;
1 orange (zest);
½ orange (juice);
3 tbsp sugar+for serving;
3 tbsp butter (soft).
METHOD
- Dissolve a pinch of sugar in warm milk and add yeast in. Set aside until activated (foam forms on the surface).
- Separately whisk the egg with leftover sugar, vanilla powder, orange zest, and juice. Add yeast solution.
- Start adding flour into the liquids in portions and then add soft butter, combining everything with a spoon and then by hands.
- Knead the dough until smooth, cover and set aside for an hour or until doubles in size.
- Roll out the dough and use two circle cookie cutters to cut out the doughnuts.
- Set the doughnuts aside for 15 minutes to puff up a little more, then fry for 2-3 minutes, until golden on both sides.
- Cover with sugar immediately after removing from the oil, then serve.
