Chicken pesto pasta with asparagus: a delicious dish to enjoy with friends

Ingredients:
1 lb chicken breasts trimmed
1 tsp salt (divided)
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 lb asparagus cut into 2" pieces
2 cups heavy whipping cream
4 Tbsp pesto
4 Tbsp olive oil
12 oz fettuccini pasta (or linguine)
 
Directions:
Cut the chicken and season with salt and pepper, cook into a pan with oil. Cook also the asparagus, in the same pan add the whipping cream, pesto and chicken. Cook for about 5 minutes. Then add the fettuccine and mix well.
