What about a rainbow surprise inside cake? Here's the recipe

Cut the sponge cake like this, and cover the edges with  butter cream. Leave a hole in the center and pour smarties into it (optionally, you can  use other candies). Cover the last layer with more frosting and place the cake on a serving dish. Decorate with colored sprinkles and the cake is ready.
Really simple.
