How to keep homemade cookies fresh

If not stored properly, homemade cookies can become very hard in a few days. 'America's Test Kitchen' offers a useful tip to keep them fresh with an infallible method. All you need is a tin box and some parchment paper to store them on; but the secret is to place flatbread between layers, which will help to keep the inside of the box moist.
