CHRISTMAS TREE CAKE: a beautiful and spectacular treat to make during the holidays!

INGREDIENTS
For the cake base:
130g butter (soft)
310g (1 1/2 cups) sugar
Vanilla essence
2 eggs
250g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
4g (1 tsp) cocoa powder
6g (1 tsp) baking soda
A pinch of salt
130g (1/2 cup) yogurt
130ml (1/2 cup) milk
10g (2 tsp) apple cider vinegar
For the filling:
240g (1 cup) mascarpone
110g (1/2 cup) condensed milk
160g whipped cream
For decoration:
240ml (1 cup) fresh cream
Green food coloring
Sugar pearls
Sugar candies
METHOD
1. In a mixing bowl, add the butter and sugar and mix with an electric mixer until the sugar dissolves. Add the vanilla essence and the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
2. In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a small bowl, mix the yogurt and milk. Add this to the main mixing bowl and combine.
4. Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix with the electric mixer. Finally, add the apple cider vinegar and mix until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
5. Pour the mixture into a Christmas tree–shaped mold and level the surface. Bake at 180°C/360°F for 35 minutes.
6. Once the cake has cooled, remove it from the mold, cut it in half, and place the base layer on a tray.
7. In a bowl, mix the mascarpone and condensed milk with an electric mixer. Add the whipped cream and fold gently with a spatula.
8. Spread the cream over the base layer and cover with the second cake layer. Remove any excess cream from the sides.
9. Whip the fresh cream with an electric mixer, add the green food coloring, and mix until evenly colored.
10. Fill a piping bag with the cream and decorate the cake on all sides. Finish with sugar pearls and sugar candies.
11. Serve the cake, slice it, and enjoy.
