CAKE IN THE JAR: the perfect gift idea for the Christmas holidays!

INGREDIENTS
For the cake mix in the jar:
180g (1 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
A pinch of baking soda
5g (1 tsp) baking powder
35g (1/4 cup) cocoa powder
6g (1 1/2 tsp) vanilla sugar
40g (1/4 cup) sugar
50g (1/4 cup) brown sugar
30g chocolate chips
50g chocolate chips for decoration
50g walnuts
For the cake:
1 egg
180ml (3/4 cup) milk
80g butter (melted)
METHOD
1. In a glass jar, add the dry ingredients — flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar, sugar, brown sugar, and chocolate chips — creating distinct overlapping layers.
2. Wrap the remaining chocolate chips and walnuts in cling film and place them on top of the layers in the jar.
3. Close the jar and decorate it with a colored ribbon. Your cake mix in a jar is now ready to gift.
4. To prepare the cake, add the egg, milk, and melted butter to a bowl and mix. Pour in the contents of the jar (except the chocolate chips and walnuts set aside for decoration).
5. Pour the batter into a 20×20 cm cake mold and level the surface. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips and walnuts on top. Bake at 180°C/360°F for 35 minutes.
6. After baking, cut the cake into squares and serve.
