How to make the perfect Naan bread!

Make your own Indian flatbreads at home and you'll never go back to buying them.
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
250g (1 ⅔ cup) self-raising flour;
1 tsp baking powder;
½ tsp salt;
100ml (⅓ cup+1 tbsp) milk;
1 egg;
20g (1 ½ tsp) sugar;
15ml (1 tbsp) vegetable oil.
METHOD
- Whisk flour with baking powder, salt and sugar.
- In a separate bowl whisk egg, milk and oil.
- Pour liquids into dry ingredients, then knead until dough forms.
- Form the dough into a ball and set it aside for 30 minutes.
- Cut the dough into quarters and roll it into balls.
- Set balls aside for 20 minutes, then roll them out into a disk.
- Spray flatbread with water and place wet side down on a hot pan.
- Cook for 1 minute, then turn the pan with the bread upside down and char the top of the naan over the flames.
- Brush with butter before serving.
