Apple buns: fluffy and super easy to make!

They are perfect for snack time!

INGREDIENTS
 1 tsp salt;
 50g (1/4 cup) sugar;
 2 eggs;
 15g (1 tbsp) honey;
 200ml (2/3 cup + 2 tbsp) milk;
 80g (1/3 cup) butter, melted;
 500g (4 cups) flour;
 8g (1 ½ tsp) dry yeast;
 4 apples, peeled, chopped;
 2 tbsp brown sugar.
 
METHOD
  1.  Whisk warm milk, butter, honey and eggs together. Add sugar and salt, then whisk again.
  2.  Mix flour with yeast and add liquid ingredients into the mixture. Work the dough with dough hooks until smooth (around 10 minutes), then cover with plastic and set aside for 1 hour.
  3.  In a dry preheated pan cook apples with brown sugar for 5 minutes. Let the filling cool down completely.
  4.  Cut the dough into quarters, roll each piece into a disk and cut into 4 parts again. Make slits on both sides of the dough as shown in the video.
  5.  Add 1 tablespoon of apple filling in the middle and pinch the bottom edges of the dough together.
  6.  Set the buns aside for 1 hour, brush with egg wash and bake at 190C/375F for 20-25 minutes.
