How to preserve fresh basil and store it

A very simple method to store the basil. Separate basil leaves and wash them. Put the basil leaves out on a large let them dry. Fill a jar with a layer of sea salt and then place a layer of basil leaves over the top and coat with olive oil.  Your basil will last in the fridge for up to a year.
