Fried croissants: irresistible and fragrant!

INGREDIENTS
120ml (⅓ cup + 1 tbsp) of lukewarm water
40g (1 ½ tbsp) of sugar
7g of dry yeast
1 egg
300g (2 cups) of all-purpose flour
A pinch of salt
50g (2 tbsp) of butter, soft
Hazelnut paste for serving
Vegetable oil for frying
METHOD
1. In a large bowl whisk together warm water with yeast, sugar, and egg. Combine flour with salt.
2. Add the dry mixture to the liquids and mix the dough until it comes together.
3. Transfer the dough to a working surface and knead for 10 minutes.
4. Roll the dough into a ball, put it into a bowl, and set aside for 2 hours.
5. Roll out the dough into a 43x26 cm rectangle. Cut out the triangles and roll each one into a croissant.
6. Place croissants onto individual pieces of parchment paper. Set aside for 1 hour.
7. Fry croissants in preheated oil for approx. 4 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
8. Fill each croissant with hazelnut paste.
