Marble tea eggs: how to make them at home!

 A savory, flavorful, and super delicious snack
 
INGREDIENTS
8 eggs
6 g (3 tbsp) black tea
50g (3 tbsp) sugar
2 star anise
2 bay leaves
60 ml (4 tbsp) soya sauce
15 g (3 tsp) salt
750 ml (3 cups) water

METHOD
  1. Boil eggs in cold water for 10 minutes.
  2. Immediately transfer cooked eggs into the bowl with iced water and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gently crack the eggs using a spoon.
  4. Into a pot, add black tea, sugar, anise, bay leaves, soya sauce, salt, and water. Bring to a boil, add cracked eggs and simmer for 20 minutes. Let cool and transfer into the fridge for 12 hours.
  5. Peel the eggs and enjoy.
