Marble tea eggs: how to make them at home!

A savory, flavorful, and super delicious snack
INGREDIENTS
8 eggs
6 g (3 tbsp) black tea
50g (3 tbsp) sugar
2 star anise
2 bay leaves
60 ml (4 tbsp) soya sauce
15 g (3 tsp) salt
750 ml (3 cups) water
METHOD
- Boil eggs in cold water for 10 minutes.
- Immediately transfer cooked eggs into the bowl with iced water and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
- Gently crack the eggs using a spoon.
- Into a pot, add black tea, sugar, anise, bay leaves, soya sauce, salt, and water. Bring to a boil, add cracked eggs and simmer for 20 minutes. Let cool and transfer into the fridge for 12 hours.
- Peel the eggs and enjoy.
