Asparagus fries

INGREDIENTS
Chili-Lime Seasoning:
1 tablespoon CHILI POWDER
1/2 teaspoon KOSHER SALT
ZEST OF 1 LIMe
Parmesan Seasoning:
1/4 cup GRATED PARMESAN
1/2 teaspoon FRESHLY GROUND BLACK PEPPER
Old Bay Seasoning:
1 tbsp OLD BAY SEASONING
Asparagus Fries:
1 cup FLOUR
1/4 cup CORNSTARCH
1 teaspoon BAKING POWDER
1 cup LAGER, CHILLED
1 bunch PENCIL ASPARAGUS
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
+ 1 cup of FLOUR AND VEGETABLE OIL, for frying
INSTRUCTIONS
First make the seasoning by mixing ingredients from the list in a bowl until well combined; set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
Whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Slowly pour in the beer and mix until smooth.
Put the asparagus pieces into the flour and then dip it into the batter.
Fry until golden brown on all sides aproximately 4 to 5 minutes.
Toss the warm fries in the bowl with the seasoning combination and serve with the mayonese.
