Apple pie

Ingredients:
For the dough:
350 g (12.3 oz) flour;
2 tbsp butter;
1 egg;
a pinch of salt;
150 ml (5.7 fl.oz) warm milk;
4 tbsp sugar;
1 package dry yeast.

For the filling:
4 tbsp butter, melted;
75 g (3.8 oz) cream cheese;
110 g (3.8 oz) brown sugar;
½ tsp cinnamon;
100 g (3.5 oz) chopped almonds:
100 g (3.5 oz) chopped apples.

75 g (3.8 oz) cream cheese;

50 g (2 oz) brown sugar;
2 tbsp cream.

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 170C/340F.
Mix milk, sugar and yeast together. Separately combine flour with a pinch of salt, and butter, egg and yeast mixture.
Knead the dough until smooth, cover and set aside for 1 hour (or until doubled in size).
For the filling mix cream cheese, sugar, cinnamon and butter together until smooth.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Cover half of it with cream cheese mixture, sprinkle almonds and apples on top.
Cover filling with another half of the dough and cut into about 2 cm/1 inch strips. Twist each strip as shown on the video.
Place strips into a large tart pan forming a spiral. Bake for 25 minutes.
Meanwhile make a caramel by whisking butter and sugar together over medium heat until crystals dissolves. Add cream, bring to a boil and pour over the hot apple pie.
