Italian Christmas zeppole: a real treat you'll fall in love with!

INGREDIENTS
• 500g flour
• 750ml water
• 3 bay leaves
• Salt
• Oil
• Sugar
• 3 bay leaves

METHOD
- Add water to a pot, add the bay leaves, salt and oil. Wait for it to boil. Add the flour and mix.
- Spread oil over the board to stop the dough from sticking. Then knead the mixture until you get a
dough. - Cut small pieces and make a long strip with each piece. Fold over itself to make a figure of 8 shape.
- Use the tip of a wooden spoon to know if oil is very hot and ready for frying.
- Place the fritters in the oil and fry. Cover each one with sugar.
