Savory donut: the perfect recipe to clear out the fridge!
published on 21 April, 2024 at 19:00
INGREDIENTS
4 eggs
70g of grated parmesan
120ml (1/2 cup) of olive oil
170ml (2/3 cup) of milk
2 tsp of salt
1 1/2 tsp of sugar
400g (3 cups) of flour
10g of baking powder
100g of mozzarella cheese (chopped in cubes)
100g of ham (chopped in cubes)
60g of black olives
METHOD
1. Pour the eggs, sugar, salt, and grated parmesan into a bowl. Start whisking well.
2. While continuing to mix, add the milk and olive oil (You can replace the milk with water for a lighter version, and the oil with melted butter for a stronger flavor).
3. Add the sifted flour and yeast together. Give it a good stir. You will have to obtain a dense and homogeneous dough.
4. Add black olives (You can choose the ingredients you prefer or those in the fridge to the dough).
5. Pour the mixture into a bundt mold (but you can also use a cake, pound cake or muffin mold).
6. Add diced ham and cheese (You can use bologna, speck or bell peppers for a vegetarian version).
7. Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes.
