Custard Cream Filled Donuts: how to make them extra fluffy and tasty

If you love donuts, you must try this simple recipe to make them fresh anytime you wish!
INGREDIENTS
3 egg yolks;
80g (⅓ cup) sugar;
80ml (⅓ cup) cream;
240 ml (1 cup) milk;
2 tbsp cornstarch;
30g (2 tbsp) butter;
1 tsp vanilla sugar;
1 egg;
50g (¼ cup) sugar;
360ml (1 ½ cup) milk;
380g (3 cups) flour;
2 tbsp baking powder;
½ tsp salt;
30g (¼ cup) powdered milk;
40ml (3 tbsp) vegetable oil.
METHOD
- Whisk egg yolks, sugar, vanilla, cream, milk and starch. Cook over the low heat, stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Whisk in cold butter, cover and set aside to cool down completely.
- Whisk egg with sugar, milk and oil. Add dry ingredients (flour, milk and baking powder) in. Knead to make a smooth and sticky dough.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface, add more flour on top and roll out to 2.5 cm (1 inch) thick.
- Cut out the donuts using a round cookie cutter. Fry for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Leave the donuts to cool down on a paper towel covered plate. Make a slit in the center all the way through and fill it with pastry cream.
- Dust cream bombs with powdered sugar before serving.
