INGREDIENTS

60ml (¼ cup) warm water;

100ml (½ cup+1 tbsp) warm milk;

6g dry yeast;

40g (¼ cup) sugar;

6g (½ tsp) salt;

1 egg;

350g (2 ¾ cup) 00 flour;

55g (¼ cup) butter.

METHOD

Combine flour with salt, make a well in the center.
Pour warm milk and water in. Add sugar, yeast and eggs. Use a hand mixer with hooks to combine everything until the dough starts coming together.
Add butter and knead until a smooth and slightly sticky ball of dough starts to form.
Set the dough aside to rise for 1 hour.
Cut into 12 balls and let them sit for 30 minutes.
Flat each ball of dough with your palm and form a ribbon as shown in the video.
Leave to rise for the final time for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with flour and bake for 8-10 minutes at 180C/350F.
Serve with apricot jam, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
