Marshmallows: the homemade recipe to make them perfect!

How to make at home the most delicious sweet treat! Kids will love this recipe!

INGREDIENTS
 1 egg white
 200g sugar
 40ml water
 10g gelatin (5 sheets)
 3 tbsp grenadine syrup
 25g powdered sugar
 25g cornstarch
 Red food coloring
 

METHOD
  1. Mix powdered sugar with cornstarch and sprinkle on a tray.
  2. Pour sugar and water into a saucepan. Boil the sugar and water until it reaches 130ºC (356ºF). Beat an egg white and add the sugar syrup while beating.
  3. Dampen 5 gelatin sheets and add to the egg white mixture while beating. Add red food coloring and beat until you get a smooth and shiny mixture.
  4. Pour into a piping bag and form several round strips on top of the tray with the corn starch mixture.
  5. Sprinkle more icing sugar mixture on top of the strips and refrigerate for 3 hours. Cut the strips into medium-sized pieces.
