INGREDIENTS
200g (1 cup) sugar
125ml (1/2 cup) water
1 tbsp lemon juice
Red food coloring
1 apple

METHOD
1. Cut an apple into wedges, removing the core very well. Dry them very well with kitchen paper.
2. Pour the sugar into a pot, add water, and mix until dissolved.
3. Add lemon juice when it boils.
4. Add red food coloring, mix, and remove from the heat.
5. Cover each apple wedge with the sugar mixture and let dry for 2 hours.
