How to polish stove plates: an alternative but useful method

A lot of fat can accumulate on the hob burner plates. Sometimes it is not enough to degrease them with various detergents. An apparently "alternative" method is actually very simple and effective.
Pour some cologne on the plates and put a match near it, a flame will form that will melt the fat. After a few seconds, the flames will vanish and you will only have to pass a damp cloth on your plates.
