4 tips to keep your plants healthy!

1) Milk
 
The protein and fats contained in milk make it difficult for plants to absorb water. However, milk contains enzymes and fungicidal properties that may restrain growth of mold and bacteria. When diluted with water, it may help to fight various diseases including fungi that may harm the plant's growth.
 
INGREDIENTS
40ml Milk
80ml Water
 
METHOD
  1. Mix stale milk with a little water and pour it into a plant as fertilizer.

2 Bicarbonate
Baking soda on plants causes no apparent harm and may help prevent the bloom of fungal spores in some cases. It is most effective on fruits and vegetables off the vine or stem, but regular applications during the spring can minimize diseases such as powdery mildew and other foliar diseases. A solution of 1 teaspoon (5 ml.) baking soda to 1 gallon a (4 L.) of water reduces instances of leaf burn. Add 1 teaspoon (5 ml.) dormant oil and ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml.) of dish soap or horticultural soap as a surfactant to help the mixture stick. Keep in mind the solution is water soluble, so apply on a dry cloudy day for best results.

  1. Mix yeast with water and pour it into a plant as a fertilizer.

METHOD
  1. Peel some potatoes and cut the peel up into small pieces.
  2. Add water and mix. Let rest for 2 days.
  3. Mash the potato peel with your hands to extract the starch.
  4. Strain the potato water and use it to water plants.
