Fluffy sunflowers: a unique recipe ready in a few steps!

INGREDIENTS

300g (2 ½ cup) flour;
300g (1 ½ cup) semolina;
350ml (1 ½ cup) warm water;
60ml (¼ cup) olive oil;
9g fresh yeast;
1 tsp salt;
10g (2 ⅓ tsp) sugar;
egg wash;
sesame seeds.
METHOD
- Combine ½ cup flour with sugar, yeast and warm water. Whisk and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Add olive oil, salt, semolina and leftover flour. Knead the dough until smooth, form into a ball, cover and set aside for 1 hour.
- Roll the dough into a log, then divide into 9 pieces and roll each one into a ball again.
- Flatten with your palm to form a circle. Form a flower as shown in the video.
- Set aside for 30 minutes. Brush with egg wash, decorate with sesame seeds and bake for 12-15 minutes at 230C/445F.
