2 ways pears puff pastry

Ingredients:
2 sheets puff pastry;
2 pears;
egg wash.

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200C/400F. Cover a baking sheet with parchment.
Roll out the puff pastry 1/2-inch thick. Cut both pears in half and remove the seeds.
For the first way make slits on the surface of the pear with a sharp knife. Place pear cut side down on a puff pastry sheet. Step 1 inch (2.5 cm) of the side of the pear and cut out its silhouette with a knife. Brush sides of the dough with some egg wash.
For the second way cover surface of the pear with puff pastry securing it with your fingers. Place a pear onto a parchment covered baking sheet sliced side down and make decorative cuts on the dough. Brush with egg wash.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the pastry is brown and the pears are soft.
