published on 10 August, 2018 at 15:53
Ingredients:
2 boxes pound cake mix;
¼ cup strawberry puree;
3 ccup pink buttercream;
½ cup green buttercream;
1 cup strawberries, chopped.
¼ cup strawberry puree;
3 ccup pink buttercream;
½ cup green buttercream;
1 cup strawberries, chopped.
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 180C/350F. Cover a large and deep baking pan with parchment.
Make a pound cake batter following the instructions on the package. Add strawberry puree to it.
Pour cake batter into prepared baking pan and bake for 40-45 minutes (or until toothpick comes out clean). Let it cool down completely.
Cut out 3 12 cm (4.7 inches) squires and 3 circles with the same diameter.
Cut one circle in half and place squire piece in-between halves to make heart shape as shown on the video. Cove the top with pink buttercream.
Make another layer but cut out excess to make just heart shape contour, leaving center empty. Fill empty center with strawberries and add more buttercream on top of the cake layer.
Repeat next layer making it the same as the first one. Cover cake with pink buttercream completely.
Using wooden chopstick decorate the cake making patter on cream, mimicking a surface of strawberry. Use green buttercream to make stem and leaves on top of the berry.
