published on 27 October, 2026 at 12:00
INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
150g sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
200g melted butter
500g all-purpose flour
Dark chocolate, as needed
Hazelnut cream, as needed
Colored sprinkles, as needed
Candy eyes, as needed
METHOD
1. Place the eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and melted butter (not too hot) in a large bowl.
2. Mix with a spoon until you obtain a smooth, homogeneous mixture.
3. Add the flour and mix again until you obtain a workable dough.
4. Continue kneading the dough on a work surface, using a little flour if needed.
5. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
6. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about ½ cm, using a rolling pin and a little flour.
7. Cut out the cookies using Halloween-themed cookie cutters. Use pumpkin-shaped cutters too, making one solid cookie for each pair and another with cutouts for the eyes and mouth.
8. Arrange the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 12 minutes, then let them cool.
10. Fill the pumpkin-shaped cookies with hazelnut spreadcream.
11. Using a piping bag, pipe a generous amount of melted dark chocolate onto the coffin-shaped cookies, then decorate with colored sprinkles.
12. Use the melted chocolate to attach the candy eyes to the spider- and bat-shaped cookies.
