3 3 brilliant ways to use ice trays: you won’t believe it!
Pour the pesto, tomato sauce and egg whites into an ice tray. These tips are really useful for storing leftovers!
TOMATO PUREE
Do you have tomato puree that is about to expire? All you need to do is pour it into an ice tray and freeze.
When you need it, all you have to do is let the cubes thaw in a pan and prepare your tomato sauce.
PESTO
If you want to store leftover pesto, freeze it in an ice tray. All you have to do is heat it up in a pan when you are ready to use it.
EGG WHITES
Often when preparing cakes and creams you’ll only use the egg yolk, so what to do with the whites? Don’t throw them out! They can be frozen and then thawed when you need them for a recipe. Once they’ve thawed, they can be whipped and used to prepare desserts and creams, or to make a tasty omelet!
