How to clean clams in a simple and thorough manner

It is important that clams are well cleaned before cooking them.
Rinse them well and place them in a bowl. Add a handful of salt, fill with water. In this way, it is as if the clams are in sea water and will open. Then empty the bowl, rinse well and place them in another bowl, now you can cook them.
