How to clean wooden utensils: the easiest hacks to keep them clean and shiny!
published on 24 August, 2023 at 15:00
Are you sure you’re cleaning your wooden utensils correctly?
Washing them with soap and a sponge is not enough, because wood absorbs and retains fat and food residues, even if you don’t notice it…
Here’s how to clean them perfectly!
Put the utensils in a bowl. Pour boiling water and add half a glass of vinegar and leave to soak for 15 minutes. Turn them from the side of the handle and leave them for another 15 minutes.
You can see for yourself how much dirt they will release. Then wash them with running water and dry them
And now a bonus trick. As soon as you buy them, soak your utensils in hot water for about 5 minutes. After a couple of days grease them with seed oil.
This procedure should be repeated at least twice a year because it helps keep them shiny and gives them lasting protection.
Using these methods your wooden utensils will always be clean and safe.
