Spaghetti with clams: the Italian recipe

The recipe for spaghetti with clams is one of the greatest classics of Neapolitan cuisine.
Here's how to make it at home in a few steps:

INGREDIENTS

spaghetti 0.7 lb (320 g)
clams 2 ¼ lbs (1 kg)
garlic 1 clove
parsley 1 small bunch
extra-virgin olive oil 4 TBSP
white wine 125ml
red chili pepper to taste
salt

METHOD 
 
1. Olive oil in the pan.
2. Then add a garlic clove, chilli and parsley stems.
3. Plunge the clams, add a lil bit of wine and cover them until they open up.
4. shake the pan from time to time.  
5. once they opened strain the juice and save it
6. Remove the clams from the shells and keep a few for decoration. 
7. Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water and strain them 3 min before the cooking time indicated on the packet.
8. add them to the pan with the clams’ juice and a splash of pasta water 
9. when the liquid is almost absorbed add the clams, a drizzle of olive oil and finely chopped parsley
