Cream puffs tree: the perfect dessert for Christmas!

The result will leave everyone speechless!
INGREIDENTS
INGREIDENTS
230g (1 cup) butter;
240ml (1 cup) water;
240ml (1 cup) milk;
½ tsp salt;
4 tsp sugar;
250g (2 cups) flour;
8 eggs;
2 sheets puff pastry;
1l (4 cups) sweetened heavy cream, whipped;
Powdered sugar.
METHOD
- Melt butter, water, salt, milk and sugar in one pan.
- Add flour and whisk until dough forms. Cook the dough for 1 minute, then remove from heat and transfer into a different bowl.
- Whisk 8 eggs and start pouring them into the pastry while working with a hand mixer.
- When all of the eggs are incorporated, transfer the pastry into a piping bag and pipe portions of it onto the parchment-covered baking sheet.
- Bake at 200C/400F for 20 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180C/350F and bake for 10 minutes more.
- When profiteroles are done, leave them to cool down, then fill with pastry cream.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut 5 different circles: 24 cm, 20 cm, 16 cm, 12 cm and 6 cm each.
- Poke each circle with a fork, then bake at 200C/400f for 12-15 minutes.
- Cover each puff pastry layer with cream and secure profiteroles on top.
- Stack layers together in the shape of a Christmas tree. Decorate using powdered sugar.
