The tip: Make a horizontal cut in the shell of the chestnut. Be sure to score only the shell. Soak the chestnuts in water for 30 minutes, this will make them easier to peel.WAYS TO COOK THEM:
1. In the microwave: place the chestnuts in a dish, leaving some space between them, and microwave them with a glass of water for 5 minutes on high. The steam produced by the glass of water will make them easy to peel. Chestnuts cook using this method should be eaten right after cooking.
2. In a pan: heat the pan, place the chestnuts in it without having any of them overlap. Place a lid on the pan and let them cook for 15 minutes, turning them over halfway through the cooking time. Once they are cooked, place the chestnuts in a tea towel, this will make them easier to peel.
3. In the oven: place the chestnuts on a baking sheet. Bake at 190°C for 30 minutes and serve hot.
