A tasty appetizer perfect for special dinners!
INGREDIENTS

For the dough:
200ml (3/4 cup) of milk (warm)
200ml (3/4 cup) of water (warm)
100ml (1/2 cup) of olive oil
1 egg
20g (1 tbsp) of sugar
7g of dry yeast
670g (2 3/4 cups) of flour
8g (1 1/3 tsp) of salt

For the filling:
60g (2 tbsp) of tomato paste
200g (2 1/2 cups) of cheese
Parsley

For the brushing:
Butter (melted)
Egg yolk

METHOD
- In a bowl add the milk, water, olive oil, egg, sugar, yeast and mix all together. Add the flour, salt and mix them all together with a spatula.
- Knead with your hands until the dough is smooth. Cover the dough and leave for 2 hours or until doubled size.
- Press and roll the dough to remove air. Cut the dough into two equal parts and roll it out into a rectangle shape.
- At the one half spread the tomato paste, add cheese and parsley. Spread the second dough on and trim the edges.
- Cut the dough into strips and brush each strip with melted butter. Add one strip to the opposite side and press the middle with a thin stick. Twist the strips at both sides to create the shape.
- Brush the sticks with the egg yolk and bake at 180°C/350°F for 20 minutes.
