1) Sandwich baskets
Here's how to turn sliced sandwich bread into delicious baskets.

2) Sandwich bread bombs
INGREDIENTS FOR 5 BOMBS
5 slices of sandwich bread
5 small mozzarella balls
100g ham
1 egg
50g breadcrumbs
50g flour

METHOD
- Roll-out the slice of bread using a rolling pin, place the ham and mozzarella on it. Helping yourself with a sheet of plastic wrap, roll the slice of bread into a ball. Refrigerate the bombs for at least one hour.
- Once chilled, roll the balls in flour, then in the egg wash and finally in the breadcrumbs. You can either fry the bombs in a pan or you can bake them at 180°C for about 15 minutes. No one will be able to resist these cheese filled delights.
TIP
We suggest you refrigerate the mozzarella balls for a few hours so that the excess liquid from the mozzarella dries up a bit. This helps reduce the loss of liquid while they cook.

3) Savory cake
INGREDIENTS
- 4 slices of sandwich bread
- 200g provola cheese (or any stringy cheese)
- 200g ham
- 2 eggs
- 200ml milk

METHOD
- Beat the eggs and then add the milk, salt, pepper and 40g of Parmesan cheese.
- Dip the slices of bread in the mixture and start assembling the cake in a loaf pan by alternating the bread, cheese, and ham until it reaches the top of the loaf pan.
- Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese and some olive oil.
- Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes, let it cool a bit before removing it from the pan and serve!

4) Tuna and tomato cake
INGREDIENTS
250g cream cheese
200g drained tuna
2 tbsp mayonnaise
salt
cherry tomatoes
lettuce

METHOD
- Prepare the filling by combining the cream cheese with the mayonnaise, tuna, diced cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and salt.
- Spread this mixture over three slices of crustless tramezzino bread.
- Wrap the ‘cake’ in plastic wrap and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
- Once you are ready to serve it, decorate it some arugula, cherry tomatoes, and some olive oil!
