HOMEMADE TOMATO POWDER: To flavor your dishes like a real chef!

INGREDIENTS
1kg tomatoes
Dried oregano
Garlic powder
 
METHOD
1. Wash the tomatoes and make a small cross-shaped cut on the bottom of each. Place them in boiling water and blanch for about 5 minutes.
2. Transfer the tomatoes to a bowl, then peel them. You will only need the peels for this recipe; you can save the pulp for a sauce.
3. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the tomato peels in a single layer. Bake at 80°C/160°F for about 3 hours, or until the peels are completely dry and brittle.
4. Once dried, place the peels in a blender. Add dried oregano and garlic powder, then blend until you obtain a fine powder.
5. Store in a glass jar and enjoy.
