Kaiserschmarrn: the super EASY Austrian recipe for a SOFT and delicious dessert!

INGREDIENTS 
4 eggs
30g of sugar
250g of flour
300g of milk
 
METHOD 
1. Separate the yolks from the whites.
2. Beat the yolks with the milk and sifted flour to create a smooth and homogeneous batter.
3. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. When bubbles start to appear, you can add the sugar.
4. Add the rum to the yolk mixture and give it a stir.
5. Gradually fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture, mixing gently from bottom to top.
6. Add a knob of butter to a pan and let it heat up. Then pour in the batter.
7. When it starts to set and bubble, you can flip it. Cook it slightly on the other side and then break it into pieces directly in the pan.
8. Serve with plenty of powdered sugar, accompanied by jam or hazelnut cream!
