Milk pound cake: soft and delicious, suitable for breakfast or snack!

An easy recipe to make a great pound cake in no-time!
INGREDIENTS
75g (1/3 cup) butter
100g (1/2 cup) sugar
2 eggs
140g (1 cup) flour
Salt
80ml (1/3 cup) whipping cream
5ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
5ml (1 tsp) rum (optional)
METHOD
- In a bowl mix sifted flour and a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter with sugar. Add eggs and continue to beat until well combined.
- Gradually add sifted flour and whipping cream alternately to sugar mixture, beginning and ending with flour, and stir with a spatula until smooth. Add in vanilla extract and rum (if using) and stir to combine.
- Pour the obtained mixture into a plum cake mold lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 180°C/360°F for 30-40 minutes.
- After 10 minutes of baking, open the oven and score the top of the cake with a sharp knife. Return the cake back to the oven and continue to bake until golden.
- Slice and enjoy!
