Pasteis de nata: how to make at home the famous portuguese custard tarts!

Pasteis de nata are a speciality of Belem, near Lisbon. They are mini puff pastry tarts crispy outside, but fill of a sweet and delicious cream inside.

puff pastry
500ml cream (whipped cream)
150g sugar
8 egg yolks

METHOD
1. In a pot mix egg yolks and sugar. Then add the cream and stir.
2. Roll the puff pastry and cut it.
3. Press the puff pastry in the muffin pan.
4. Pour the filling into the molds and bake for 25 minutes at 220°C/400°F.
