1. Sandwich bread cannoli
INGREDIENTS

1 beaten egg

METHOD
- Roll out a slice of crustless sandwich bread and spread tomato puree on it diagonally, then add black olives, oregano, cheese and basil to it. Join the two ends together to form a cannolo.
- Cover each cannolo in beaten egg (seasoned with salt and pepper) and then in some breadcrumbs.
- Bake at 190°C for 15 minutes. These delicious savory cannoli are ready to be served!
2. Bacon roll-ups
INGREDIENTS

METHOD
- Flatten a slice of sandwich bread with a rolling pin.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese (or any type of stringy cheese you prefer) and roll it up.
- Wrap a slice of bacon around the bread and provolone.
- Heat up a non-stick frying pan and let the roll-ups cook for 3/5 minutes per side. Serve hot!
3. Sandwich bread bombs
INGREDIENTS FOR 5 BOMBS
5 slices of sandwich bread
5 small mozzarella balls
100g ham
1 egg
50g breadcrumbs
50g flour

METHOD
Roll-out the slice of bread using a rolling pin, place the ham and mozzarella on it. Helping yourself with a sheet of plastic wrap, roll the slice of bread into a ball. Refrigerate the bombs for at least one hour.
Once chilled, roll the balls in flour, then in the egg wash and finally in the breadcrumbs. You can either fry the bombs in a pan or you can bake them at 180°C for about 15 minutes. No one will be able to resist these cheese filled delights.

TIP
We suggest you refrigerate the mozzarella balls for a few hours so that the excess liquid from the mozzarella dries up a bit. This helps reduce the loss of liquid while they cook.

4. Pizza sandwich
INGREDIENTS
4 slices sandwich bread;
2 tbsp tomato sauce;
2 slices tomato;
6 olives, slices;
2 onion slices;
¼ tsp dried Italian herbs;
¼ tsp chili flakes;
2 slices jalapeno, chopped;
½ cup mozzarella, shredded.

METHOD
- Spread tomato sauce over bread slices.
- Top two of the base bread slices with tomatoes, onion, olives, jalapeno and cheese. Cover with other two bread slices on top and press slightly.
- Grill sandwiches until cheese has melted.
