  • The yellow stain is a sign that the fruit has been in contact with the ground; in this case it is ripe. If you notice instead the white spot is still unripe
  • The petiole is fundamental: if it is too green it means that the watermelon has been picked too early, while if it is dry and clearer it is a sign that the fruit is ready to be consumed.
