published on 11 June, 2023 at 18:00
INGREDIENTS
270ml (1 cup) of milk
15g of fresh yeast
520g (4 cups) of flour
120g (1/2 cup) of sugar
1 egg
80ml (1/4 cup) of vegetable oil
200g of dark chocolate
Egg for brushing
Powdered sugar
METHOD
1. In a small bowl add the milk and yeast and mix until the yeast dissolves.
2. In a bowl with flour add the sugar, prepared yeast, and egg and mix with a spatula. When all is well combined start with kneading until the dough is obtained. Finally, add the oil and continue kneading to obtain a smooth dough. Cover with cling film and let it rise for 2 hours.
3. After time has elapsed transfer the dough to the working surface and roll it out to the rectangle shape (30x40cm size). Cut on 8 equal pieces and add the piece of chocolate to each piece.
4. Start by rolling each rectangle and placing one more piece of chocolate. Roll it out to obtain the bun.
5. Transfer the buns to the baking tray covered with parchment paper, cover them with cloth, and let them rise for 1 hour.
6. After one hour brush them with egg and transfer to the oven. Bake at 190°C/374°F for 20 minutes.
7. Decorate buns with powdered sugar and serve.
