Who doesn't love popcorn? Not only does the smell of popping kernels remind you of the movies, but popcorn is a delicious snack enjoyed by people of all ages. It’s cheaper than other snacks, and it’s also easy to make large quantities if you need to feed a crowd. This recipe takes making popcorn to the next level. You no longer need to make popcorn in a pot over the stove, instead, you can make it in your Airfryer. Convenient, quicker, and less messy! It’s perfect for making smaller servings, so if the salty cravings come knocking, be ready with this recipe.

Tips

To make a buttery popcorn, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle with salt.

Use the recipe as a base for caramel popcorn. To make the caramel, mix together 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup butter or margarine, ¼ cup corn syrup (or glucose), ½ tsp salt, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Microwave for 3 minutes, stir, and microwave for another 2 minutes. Remove from the microwave and stir in ½ tsp baking soda. Pour the caramel over the popcorn.

You only need to cover the base of the Airfryer with parchment paper. The heat and air from the sides will help to pop the kernels.

Do not overcrowd the basket with kernels as this will prevent the popcorn from cooking consistently (this can cause them to burn).

Add flavoring after the popcorn has popped (not before).

How to Store Air Fryer Popcorn

Leftover popcorn can be stored at room temperature, in an airtight container, for up to 5 days.
