The taste of these decadent chocolate squares will remind you of Brigadiero or Nama chocolate. But the recipe is even more simplified in that you only need two ingredients: chocolate and condensed milk. It’s easy to make too. Simply melt the chocolate and stir until smooth, then mix in the condensed milk. Pour the mixture into a cake tin and refrigerate until set. Once the mixture is set, you can cut it into squares and they’ll be ready to serve. It’s a great sweet snack to make if you’re low on ingredients and short on time. They’re fudgy, rich, and very tasty!

Tips

Because there are only two ingredients, make sure you use high-quality chocolate (like Ghiradelli)

The longer the mixture is refrigerated, the easier it will be to cut.

You can add chocolate sprinkles, dried cranberries, caramel bits, or crushed nuts to the mixture.

Make sure to line the cake tin with parchment paper before adding the chocolate mixture as this will make removing the squares easier. Don’t use foil, as it might tear easier.

For different flavors, use extracts like peppermint or vanilla.

You can also melt the chocolate in the microwave. Place chocolate pieces in a small microwavable bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds on medium-low power. Stir and continue to microwave for 30-second intervals until chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

How to Store Chocolate Squares

The chocolate squares can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days. They can also be frozen in a Ziploc bag.
