SOUR CHERRY ICE CREAM: it's quick and easy to make!
published on 17 June, 2025 at 11:48
INGREDIENTS:
500ml (2 cups) of cold whipping cream
200g (2/3 cup) of sweetened condensed milk
1 jar of sour cherries in syrup
1 tablespoon rum
METHOD:
1. In a large mixing bowl, pour in the cold whipping cream. Whip it using a hand mixer until it starts to thicken.
2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and 1–2 tablespoons of rum into the bowl. Whip again until you get a smooth and creamy mixture.
Note: The rum helps keep the ice cream creamy when frozen, but feel free to skip it if you prefer.
3. Pour the prepared mixture into the loaf pan.
4. You can either decorate just the top of the ice cream with the black cherries and syrup, or layer it.
To create layers: pour a bit of the cream into the mold, add some black cherries and a drizzle of syrup, and gently swirl with a skewer to create a marbled effect. Repeat the layers until you use up all the cream.
5. Freeze for at least 5 hours, preferably overnight.
